Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Still Employed ("we", "us") handles personal data when you visit our website or subscribe to our newsletter. We take your privacy seriously and process personal data only as described here, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. What data we collect and why

Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect and store your email address (and, if you provide it, your name) for the sole purpose of sending you our newsletter. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / nDSG). You give this consent when you sign up, and you can withdraw it at any time (see Section 5).

Server logs. When you visit the site, our server (or hosting provider) may automatically record standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and time of access. This data is used to operate and secure the site and is not used to identify you personally. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Analytics. We use Google Search Console to understand how our site appears in search results. This works from Google's own search data and does not place tracking cookies on your device through our site.

2. Third-party content

YouTube embeds. Some pages embed videos from YouTube (operated by Google). When such a page loads, your IP address and browser information are transmitted to Google, which may set cookies. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode where possible to reduce this. Google's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Web fonts. We load fonts from Google and/or Adobe font services. When a page loads, your IP address is transmitted to the relevant provider so the font can be served. This is used only to deliver the font. See the providers' privacy policies for details.

3. Where your data is stored

Newsletter data is stored on infrastructure located in Switzerland or the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). We do not transfer your newsletter data outside the EU/EEA or Switzerland. Some third-party services referenced above (Google, Adobe) may process technical data on servers outside Switzerland/the EU; those transfers are governed by the providers' own safeguards.

4. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

To unsubscribe from the newsletter, use the link in any email we send you, or contact us. To exercise any other right, contact us using the details in Section 1. If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local supervisory authority.

5. How long we keep data

We keep your newsletter email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operational purposes, then deleted or anonymised.

6. Cookies

Our site itself does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Cookies may be set by embedded third-party content (such as YouTube) when you interact with it, as described in Section 3.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update shown above.
